Season 2 opens with a bang! Well, really, it opens with some violins (key of F.) In this episode, Kimmie eats her spinach. Johnny Weir and Evan Lysacek continue THE GREATEST RIVALRY IN ALL OF SPORT. Mirai Nagasu stretches. Rachael Flatt, self-title skater. And… THE ICE QUEENS ARE GOING TO THE WORLDS!

Welcome back Ice Queens. Loved the insightful–but never gratuitous, of course–analysis, as always. Agree with you on the Kimmie/Kim/Kimberly issue…she needs to switch to “mature mode”, at least name-wise. Remember when Debbie Gibson decided she would start going by Deborah instead? That did wonders for her career–Ms. Meissner, take note!

One odd note…at one point during this episode, I would swear that I heard Liz call Tori by a different name: “Julie”. I’m assuming “Julie” is a pseudonym that comes in handy when Tori wants to avoid detection among the everyday rabble. Have a great time at the Worlds!
